The California Department of Public Health has denied AIM’s application to operate as a community clinic. County public health officials did not become aware that AIM was operating without a license until April. In May, they sent AIM officials a letter advising them that as a nonprofit, they could not operate under an affiliated physician’s license and needed to apply instead for a clinic license.
AIM officials were notified on Tuesday that their license application had been denied. They had applied on June 7 but state officials said the application was incomplete.
County public health staff went to AIM this morning and issued a cease-and-desist order based upon state regulator’s denial of their application for a community clinic license.
“We’ve told the clinic they have to notify people of test results that have already been taken and make appropriate referrals. But they cannot provide new services,” said Dr. Jonathan Fielding, the county’s public health director.

I’m told Talent Testing Services run an identical test to AIM. HIV-1 DNA by PCR, Chlamydia by PCR & Gonorrhea by PCR. Test cost approx.$130
I would assume you can now go to your own doctors for testing. Many have wanted to go to their own doctors because they have insurance. But it’s widely known that AIM has held a monopoly throughout the industry for years when it comes to testing. Many performers have been told they would not be allowed to work if they didn’t get tested at AIM. But then you might run the risk of people having forged tests if they went to their own personal doctor.
The best bet for now is to go to Talent Testing Services in Northridge. But make sure ahead of time to contact everyone involved in your future shoots as to what protocol will be taken when it comes to testing. Do not get bullied into shooting anything without your co-stars being properly tested. Your life is on the line. Stand up for yourselves and do not perform anything without seeing for yourselves your co-star’s test results.

People this is the WRONG THING TO DO.
You can get STD testing without going to illegal measures, use your heads.
Talent Testing is still operating, go there. DO NOT go for the testing equivalent of a back alley abortion.
DO NOT fall for this if it’s true. AIM doesn’t have their license and would be breaking the law if this is true. Get tested at Talent Testing Services or at a county clinic that you trust. A better alternative needs to start now. AIM has had years to get their act straight but they keep on failing miserably.

About 40% fo gay porn actors are HIV+. One company just recently signed a know HIV+performer to an excusive contract to perform for them.

Thank you Anon for the links! I’ll believe it when I see it them opening. They still need a license. So I don’t know how they can get one again that quickly.
I always assumed when the gay industry hired known HIV positive talent, that they pair them up with other known positives. Like when Brooke Ashley came back in 2005 and performed with her then boyfriend who also has HIV.
